2nd Regional SME/HPC Workshop
Vega Press hosted the 2nd Regional workshops with partners from the business community. It was held at Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto on 25th of October 2018. The main aim of the workshop was to gather regional stakeholders at an event where information can be obtained along with exploring their views and expectations from the future work in the field of bridging the gap between HPC at HEI and SMEs. The workshop was attended by 22 participants who included representatives of business community, of HEIs and other stakeholders from the region, who deal with development of supporting environment for SMEs, SME/HPC regional project team, and SME/HPC UK team.




1th SME/HPC Summer School
The first SME/HPC international summer school was organized by Vega Press. It was held at Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto on 24-25th of September 2018. Summer school participants engaged in development of ideas for HPC implementation in real environment, to solve real issues. They have tackled the challenges of: Boosting research and innovation by promoting HPC usage among SMEs, Stakeholders, key partners and the role of regional, international and European environment in supporting research and innovation for HPC usage among SMEs, Sharing of learning experiences and How can SMEs benefit from HPC.




SME/HPC Steering Commettee
SME/HPC Steering Commitee meeting took place on 10th July 2018 in Dublin. It was organised by WIT. Attendants from various countries, representing project partners (WIT, FIS, VEGA PRESS, UEFISCDI, ARCTUR, AMB, UNN, AITT), discussed important topics and finished the meeting with common opinion - it was successful but there are still so many things to be done in the following weeks and months.




1th Regional SME/HPC Workshop
UEFISCDI hosted the 1th Regional workshops with partners from the business community. It was held on 25th of April 2018 at Palatul Universul in Bucharest. The workshop aimed to introduce SME/HPC project to regional stakeholder and to start the strategic dialogue with and between regional enterprises and higher education institutions. The workshop was attended by 15 participants who included representatives of business community, of HEIs and NGOs coming from various sectors (urbanism, software, services, automotive) and SME/HPC regional project team.




SME/HPC Kick off meeting
The 1th partnership meeting of the project Enabling SMEs to gain competitive advantage from the use of HPC was held in Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto on 8th of November 2017. The main agenda was covering the implementation of the budget, reporting, project management and cross-fertilisation of the project.
